First Convention of LIFE Natura projects

Continuation of protective measures on the meadows

The next section of trials being repaired

Working in cooperation with the Orle Gniazda Landscape Park

Wednesday, 02 december 2015LIFE Pieniny managment team visited three different LIFE project carried out in Notranjski Regijski Park (LIFE 06 NAT/SLO/000069), Triglavski National Park (LIFE 00 NAT/SLO/007231) and Kozjanski Regijski Park ( LIFE 00 NAT/SLO/007223) Slovenia.

Trails repair from Istebki to Kurnikówka

LIFE Information Day 2015
Monday, 27 April 2015On 4th of May 2015 two emplyees of the Pieniny National Park attended the eighth LIFE Information Day, organized by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. A Forum with a purpose of exchanging the experience between beneficiaries implementing projects under the LIFE + programme.

Protection of breeding sites for amphibians at „Kapitanowe”

Exchange of experience between LIFE projects

Sowing the Pieniny Treacle-mustard (Erysimum pieninicum)
Thursday, 04 december 2014As a part of the action – Protection of the population of the Pieniny Treacle-mustard Erysimum pieninicum, previously collected seeds of this endemic spieces were sown in the area of the castle hill. 6.000 seeds were used in 6 plots with exposed soil, each with an area of aprox. 1m2.

Protection of the population of the Pieniny Treacle- mustard (Erysimum pieninicum)
Wednesday, 03 december 2014In 2014 the perennial plants and shrubs overgrowing the xerotermic grasslands at the ruins of Czorsztyn Castle were removed from an area of 0.25 ha.

Wednesday, 03 december 2014To fulfil the promotion requirements of the project, the Pieniny National Park published, in the 2nd quarter of 2014, an information folder in three languages: Polish, English and Slovak.

Monitoring of two invasive plants: Sakhalin Knotweed (Reynoutria sachalinensis) and Japanese Knotweed (R. japonica)
Friday, 29 August 2014As a part of the project, the second monitoring of Reynoutria sachalinensis and Reynoutria japonica was conducted on 29.07.2014 in the Pieniny National Park.
